BABCOCK-YOUNG VOICES OF UNITY CHOIR
The Babcock-Young Voices of Unity Choir is an intergenerational blend of voices ranging from age 20 - 70+, soprano to bass. We consistently sing a repertoire of church music including hymns, anthems, spirituals, and contemporary gospel. BYVOU ministers in worship on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at both the early and mid-day services. The choir’s roots date back to 1939 we are fortunate to have one original choir member, Sister Daisy Gholston, still living who is ninety-six years blessed. The rehearsals are every Tuesday at 7pm and the Saturdays before the 1st and 3rd Sundays. New members are welcome. For additional information, please e-mail bethelsong@aol.com.
BEARDEN/SCOTT YOUTH CHOIR
This choir is named in honor of our former pastor, Bishop H. L. Bearden. Young persons, ages 5-18, interested in lifting their voices to the glory of God should contact the church office regarding the choir.
handBELL CHOIR
The Bell Choir plays for special events, particularly during the Christmas. Persons who are interested in participating should contact the church office.
JOHNSON/SCHOFIELD MALE CHORUS
The Male Chorus is named after the late Ralph Johnson and the late Willie Schofield in honor of their faithfulness, leadership, and devotion to this ministry. All men interested in making a joyful noise to the Lord are welcome to attend rehearsals on Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. The Male Chorus serves on the fourth Sunday at both morning services.
KWANZAA-SOL LITURGICAL DANCE
MINISTRY
This ministry gives thanks to God through inspired dancing with
Scripture reference. This ministry is open to males and
females of all ages who desire to give honor and praise to God
through dance.
SIGNS OF PRAISE MIME MINISTRY
The Signs of Praise is a ministry composed of young men who use mime a vehicle to praise and worship God. The Signs of Praise ministers during morning worship services and other occasions at Big Bethel and in the community. The Ministry holds an annual Mime Revival when it invites other mime ministries to join them in spreading the Good News.
