	BIBLE STUDY Please join us every Wednesday at 12:00 Noon and 7:00 PM	...For a spirit-filled, Word teaching *Bible Study in the Fellowship Hall.* At 7:00 PM, we offer classes for men, women and youth. August Bible Study will be held each Wednesday at 12:00 Noon and 7:00 p.m.
	CLOTHES CLOSET	The *Big Bethel Clothing Closet* is in dire need of men’s clothing. Items needed include clothing, small and medium sizes, work boots & athletic shoes. There is also a need for baby clothing. You may bring your donations to the church office Monday - Friday.
	CROWN MINISTRY	Today we are experiencing the brunt of a financial blow that has impacted our total economy. Many Americans nation are suffering from job loss and financial adversities. Crown Ministries has the solution to better prepare us to weather this storm and plan for the future. 		BETHELl TRINITY PARTNERSHIP NEWS Bethel Trinity Partnership Ministry Monthly Meetings for 2010 will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 5:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall.
		ACADEMIC CONNECTION Do you need help with your math, reading, social studies, Spanish, other subjects? Big Bethel AME Church can provide mentors for you in every subject area of the Georgia High School Core Curriculum. The willingness of Big Bethel members to serve as academic mentors has allowed the Academic Connection the ability to address the needs of every student in grades 8 -12. When there is a specific need for a mentor in a specific area of preparation, the Academic Connection will connect the parent of the student requesting help to a mentor. The Academic Connection is able to assist all students in grades 8 through 12. We encourage parents and students to use the Academic Connection, and not wait until the student is in deep trouble.

		SEEKING WOMEN FROM THE CIVIL RIGHTS ERA Rev. AnneMarie Mingo, an Assistant Minister at Big Bethel A.M.E. and a Ph.D. student at Emory University, is conducting research for her dissertation that focuses on Black Churchwomen who have been involved in the Civil Rights Movement. Women from Big Bethel will play a significant role in this project so your assistance is appreciated. If you or a woman that you know was involved in the Movement at any level (as an individual, in a group, or anything else), please contact Rev. Mingo at amingo@emory.edu to arrange an interview, which can take place at the church or your home. Thank you in advance for your support.
		BIG BETHEL WEBSITE ENHANCEMENT In our effort to continuously improve the Big Bethel Website, we are in the process of enhancing the access to information about ministries of the church. In an effort to make access more user friendly and provide opportunities for ministries to better describe their missions and activities, we are reconstructing the ministries page. Previously, ministry heads were asked to provide information for their ministry’s standard page. The deadline for submission is September 18. Visit the www.bigbethelame.org and click on Ministries and then on the More Ministries link and click on Prayer Warriors to see the standard ministry page. In addition, ministries will be able to create specialized pages and announcements by working with Rayna Powell. Directions are being sent to Ministry heads.
		MARRIED COUPLES MINISTRY In order that we may better serve you, our married couples, (if you have not done so) please provide us with your date, month and year of your marriage prior to the month in which you were married.
